Short animation of Keyframes in production

Image
Here are some more frames in production, the the pan up is the first scene of animation followed by a few quick keyframes of the tiger walking which will have a few more in-betweens within it but the shot itself isn't that long so not too many more. And the tiger jumping out at the camera is also a fully finished scene that needs to be lined and coloured.

Fully coloured scene Tryout

Image
Here is a fully coloured scene of toga wandering through the hallway, I really think that colour helps convey the her worrying look of emotion on her face it just makes her seem so much more human than just a blank sketch on a piece of paper. The vivid background looks great against the character and helps make her pop against the background.

Keyframes of Toga walking and Tiger

Here are the Keyframes for toga walking down the hallway looking afraid and unaware of where she is and how she reacts with the tiger jumping out on her. We also used this as an example of how we can show the tiger in a bit more of a fantastical entrance into battling our protagonist. The scenes aren't necessarily in the correct order as toga should be holding her hands up protecting herself after the tiger is seen and then jumps out at her. But the animation is looking fluid and has a real sense of life to it.

Updated Final Storyboard (Post Animatic)

Image
Once we have reviewed our animatic we had a team talk on what scenes we should extend or make shorter leading us to update our storyboard, and time slots subsequently. The storyboard is much clearer with a lot less clutter and a more direct approach to showing visuals

East of Eden Animatic

Here is the animatic for our East of Eden animation, the timings match up perfectly with the music which is a great start. However the animatic points out what scenes need to be longer and what scenes should be much shorter with more frames which is a good starting point for working on the final animatic.
