Final Animations of the three scenes

Here is the bus finalised bus scene The finalised harbor scene A very edited version of the valley of k finalised

Valley of K scene production

Image
I started out with a basic horizon line, green landscape and blue sky Using the clipping mask feature I created some shadows for the left hand mountain, its the main tool I use to shade in phtoshop and looks really effective on things like mountains A few different shades of green for the middle mountain, but again the same process Along wiht the right hand mountain I added a new overlay of green for the floor The drab lake runs through the middle of the mountains as that was specifically included in the text Here is what the scene looks like now the filters are on Ive added some grass in the foreground to make use of all the green highlands

Producing the Bus Scene

Image
I started out with a dark purple background for the image I then added an interior rear view window and a darker area of purple to show that the shape of the interior bus. I also created a a chair that I mirrored to look like a row of seats. Duplicated the seats to show two rows of seats I then made the right hand wall with windows expanding as they come toward you to simulate a sense of depth in the bus. The darker purple is to show the shape of the bus arc. I then added a double row of seats for the right hand wall in parallel with the centre row and added a black outline to the window as they felt somewhat flat. I then mirrored the right half onto the left and the bus is finished. Speed lines will be added into the final animation going past the windows to simulate a speedy drive.

Producing the harbor scene

Image
I started off with designing a boat/yacht to gently sway back and forth against a sky blue sea background I then added some environmental assets like houses and a lighthouse, these are quite flat and will remain stationary. They're floating in space like that because there will be a three circled filter to go over the top and frame the image for the play.  I then decided to add some wooden support structures, and some wooden overlay textures to the flat assets to try and breathe some life into them. I felt as if not enough is moving in this scene so I also added gulls that fly past the buildings and up off the screen in the final animation.

Haroun and The sea of Stories Project

Haroun and the sea of stories This semesters project is to animate backgrounds/scenes from the drama students version of the play Haroun and The Sea Of Stories. The play is divided up into three segments based on the settings and locations of the play. The real world group which is my team are in charge of the first section of the play creating the scenes and moving backgrounds for the city, bus driving through the landscape etc. The second group is in charge of animating the chupp landscape and journey and the third group in charge of the gupp landscape.
